How it works
Activate Liquimetal Torque's second ability by tapping it, causing Archaeomancer to become an artifact until end of turn.
Activate all mana-producing lands you control by tapping them, adding at least 8.
Cast Turnabout by paying 2, untapping all lands you control.
Activate Urza by paying 6, creating a token copy of Archaeomancer that is a 1/1 Soldier in addition to its other types.
When the Archaeomancer token enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Turnabout to your hand from your graveyard.
Repeat from step 2.
If lands you control can tap to proudce at least 9, this combo nets infinite mana, which can be used to activate Urza's ability infinitely and/or cast Turnabout choosing its other modes.
This dazzling engine relies on turning your utility pieces into full-fledged artifact creatures so that Urza, Prince of Kroog can flood the board with mechanical replicas. By using Liquimetal Torque to temporarily turn Archaeomancer into an artifact, Urza's hefty activation cost is leveraged to forge exact copies of the wizard whenever you have the mana to spare. Each time a token Archaeomancer enters the battlefield, its triggered ability plucks Turnabout right back out of your graveyard. Finally, Turnabout untaps all your lands to reset your mana supply—and since your lands are producing more than enough to cover the copy cost and the spell's casting cost, you are left with an infinite loop of recursive spellcasting, endless creature tokens, and boundless mana.
