How it works

1. During your upkeep, activate Nim Devourer by paying , returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield, and then sacrificing it.
2. When Nim Devourer dies, Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating two Treasure tokens.
3. Activate the Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding .
4. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms your upkeep into an endless engine of sacrifice and resurrection. By pumping black mana into Nim Devourer's recursion ability, you send the creature straight from your graveyard to the battlefield, only to immediately sacrifice it right back. Every time it perishes, Pitiless Plunderer steps in to turn that death into Treasure tokens, and thanks to Bard, King of Dale's token-doubling replacement effect, you get twice the bounty you need to pay the activation cost all over again.
