How it works

  1. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying 1B mana.
  2. When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get EEE.
  3. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying EEE, sacrificing Flamecache Gecko and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning Activated Sleeper from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Flamecache Gecko.
  4. When Activated Sleeper enters the battlefield, it triggers, adding B manaR mana.
  5. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying 1B mana.
  6. When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get EEE.
  7. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying EE, sacrificing Activated Sleeper and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning Flamecache Gecko from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  8. When Flamecache Gecko enters the battlefield, it triggers, adding B manaR mana.
  9. Repeat.
