How it works

1. Activate Lithatog by sacrificing Tatterkite
2. When Tatterkite dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to its static effect.
3. Resolve the Lithatog ability.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight into an engine of endless rebirth by leveraging the unique protection of Tatterkite. When you use Lithatog to sacrifice Tatterkite, the creature normally would return with a -1/-1 counter from its granted persist ability, but Tatterkite's static ability prevents counters from being placed on it entirely. This allows Tatterkite to return to the battlefield completely unhindered, ready to be sacrificed to Lithatog all over again to pump its power to astronomical heights.
