Infinite card drawInfinite draw triggersNear-infinite +1/+1 counters on a creature
How it works
Activate a Clue by paying 2 and sacrificing it.
Lonis' second ability and Tarrian's Soulcleaver trigger.
Resolve the Lonis trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Cryptic Trilobite.
Resolve the Tarrian's Soulcleaver trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Lonis.
Lonis' first ability triggers, creating a Clue artifact token.
Resolve the Clue ability from step 1, causing you to draw a card.
Activate Cryptic Trilobite's first ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding CC that can only be spent to activate abilities.
Repeat.
This clever loop turns the routine act of cracking a Clue into an engine for infinite resources, all anchored by Lonis, Genetics Expert. When you sacrifice a Clue, Tarrian's Soulcleaver feeds off the death to place a +1/+1 counter on Lonis, which in turn fires off Lonis's ability to investigate and replace the sacrificed Clue with a fresh one. Meanwhile, the counter generated by Lonis's third ability targets Cryptic Trilobite, stoking its internal mana-battery so you can tap into its ability to remove counters for {C}{C}. Because Cryptic Trilobite's restriction allows that mana to be spent on activated abilities, you can effortlessly funnel it right back into paying for the Clue's sacrifice cost.
