How it works

1. Activate Royal Herbalist by paying 2 and exiling the top card of your library, causing you to gain 1 life.
2. Spider-Man triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Cryptic Trilobite.
3. Activate Cryptic Trilobite by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding CC that can only be spent to activate abilities.
4. Repeat.

This clever synergy turns the innocuous ability of Royal Herbalist into a self-sustaining engine by channeling its lifegain directly into Spider-Man, Peter Parker. Each time you activate the Herbalist, the resulting life gain triggers Spider-Man to place a fresh +1/+1 counter back onto Cryptic Trilobite. The Trilobite then happily consumes that counter using its restriction-heavy mana ability to generate the exact {C}{C} needed to fund the next activation of Royal Herbalist, leaving you free to chew through your entire library while stacking up near-infinite life.
