How it works

1. Activate Illusionary Mask by paying 0.
2. Crackdown Construct triggers, giving itself +1/+1 until end of turn.
3. Resolve the Illusionary Mask ability.
4. Repeat.

By repeatedly activating Illusionary Mask for zero mana, we can tap into a wonderfully strange rules interaction. Because the Mask's ability doesn't produce mana, every activation acts as a non-mana artifact ability that feeds directly into Crackdown Construct. The Construct's triggered ability piles on endless +1/+1 pumps with each repetition, turning it into a monstrously huge threat ready to finish off an opponent in formats like legacy and vintage.
