How it works

1. Cast Saw in Half by paying 2, destroying Verdurous Gearhulk and creating two token copies of it with base power equal to half the destroyed creature's power and base toughness equal to half the destroyed creature's toughness, rounding up each time, as well as two 1/1 Squirrel creature tokens.
2. When the Verdurous Gearhulk tokens enter the battlefield, they trigger, putting eight +1/+1 counters on Nested Shambler.
3. Kill Nested Shambler, triggering its ability, creating at least 18 1/1 Squirrel creature tokens.
4. At the beginning of your next upkeep, Epic Struggle triggers, causing you to win the game.

This ingenious setup starts by using Saw in Half to crack open a Verdurous Gearhulk, leaving behind two weakened token copies that nonetheless flood the board with squirrel tokens courtesy of Chatterfang, Squirrel General's replacement effect. Those entering Gearhulks dump a massive pile of eight +1/+1 counters onto a humble Nested Shambler, swelling its power immensely. When you subsequently sacrifice or destroy that giant Shambler, its death trigger turns its huge power into an overwhelming horde of over eighteen fresh Squirrels.
