How it works

  1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Nested Shambler, adding B mana.
  2. Mortuary, Nested Shambler and Archghoul of Thraben trigger.
  3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Nested Shambler on top of your library.
  4. Resolve the Nested Shambler trigger, creating a number of tapped 1/1 Squirrel creature tokens equal to Nested Shambler's power.
  5. Resolve the Archghoul of Thraben trigger, revealing Nested Shambler from the top of your library and putting it into your hand.
  6. Cast Nested Shambler by paying B mana.
