How it works

1. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing Darksteel Splicer, adding .
2. When Darksteel Splicer dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return Darksteel Splicer from your graveyard to the battlefield, and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
3. When Darksteel Splicer enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating at least one 3/3 Phyrexian Golem artifact creature token.
4. Activate Thermopod's second ability three times by sacrificing three Phyrexian Golems, adding .
5. Repeat.
6. If you have four or more opponents, this combo nets infinite creature tokens and red mana.

This clever loop turns Thermopod into a sacrificial engine that funds its own resurrection costs through Nim Deathmantle. Whenever you feed Darksteel Splicer to the Thermopod, the resulting death triggers Nim Deathmantle's ability, letting you pay four mana to bring the Splicer straight back to the battlefield equipped with the Deathmantle. Because Darksteel Splicer is a Phyrexian, its entrance creates a steady stream of 3/3 Phyrexian Golem artifact creature tokens—whose indestructible nature thanks to the Splicer doesn't stop them from being gladly sacrificed to Thermopod for red mana. With four or more opponents, those Golems provide more than enough mana to pay the Deathmantle's resurrection fee each cycle, yielding an unstoppable engine of infinite sacrifices, ETBs, and red mana.
