How it works

1. Cast Strength of Will by paying 1, targeting Deathbringer Thoctar.
2. Activate Deathbringer Thoctar by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, dealing 1 damage to it.
3. Deathbringer Thoctar triggers, putting two +1/+1 counters on it due to Caradora.
4. Activate Deathbringer Thoctar by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, dealing 1 damage to any target.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns Deathbringer Thoctar into a self-sustaining artillery piece by capitalizing on the damage-based growth granted by Strength of Will. Since Strength of Will makes the Thoctar indestructible, you can safely shoot it with its own activated ability to trigger its counter-generating growth. Meanwhile, Caradora, Heart of Alacria acts as the ultimate amplifier for the engine, permanently increasing the +1/+1 counters gained so that each iteration nets you a surplus. By peeling off one counter to deal damage, you generate more than enough back to fuel the loop infinitely—allowing you to point the excess damage at any target and close out the game.
