How it works

  1. Cast Saw in Half by paying 2B mana, destroying Archaeomancer and creating two token copies of it with base power equal to half the destroyed creature's power and base toughness equal to half the destroyed creature's toughness, rounding up each time.
  2. When the Archaeomancer tokens enter the battlefield, they trigger, returning Saw in Half and Sacrifice from your graveyard to your hand.
  3. Cast Sacrifice by paying B mana and sacrificing a Archaeomancer token, adding an amount of B mana equal to its mana value.
  4. Repeat.

This clever loop centers around Archaeomancer's entrance ability, which continuously plucks your used spells right back from the graveyard. By targeting it with Saw in Half, you destroy the original to spawn two token copies, whose double-entry triggers effortlessly reclaim both Saw in Half and Sacrifice for your hand. You then feed one of those freshly minted tokens to Sacrifice to generate the black mana needed to fuel the whole operation again. Because Archaeomancer brings back the very spells used to destroy and sacrifice it, the recursion is entirely self-sustaining, generating an endless cascade of deaths, sacrifices, and enters-the-battlefield triggers.
