How it works

1. Cast Saw in Half by paying 2, destroying Scrivener and creating two token copies of it with base power equal to half the destroyed creature's power and base toughness equal to half the destroyed creature's toughness, rounding up each time.
2. When the Scrivener tokens enter the battlefield, they trigger, returning Saw in Half and Sacrifice from your graveyard to your hand.
3. Cast Sacrifice by paying and sacrificing a Scrivener token, adding an amount of equal to its mana value.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop centers on the recursive synergy between Saw in Half and Scrivener, where destroying the original creature with Saw in Half doubles it into two token copies whose entry triggers can pull both Saw in Half and Sacrifice right back from your graveyard. Meanwhile, Sacrifice steps in to harvest one of those fresh Scrivener tokens for black mana equal to its mana value, funding the next iteration of the spell.
