How it works

1. Cast Saw in Half by paying 2, destroying Timeless Witness and creating two token copies of it with base power equal to half the destroyed creature's power and base toughness equal to half the destroyed creature's toughness, rounding up each time.
2. When the Timeless Witness tokens enter the battlefield, they trigger, returning Saw in Half and Sacrifice from your graveyard to your hand.
3. Cast Sacrifice by paying and sacrificing a Timeless Witness token, adding an amount of equal to its mana value.
4. Repeat.

This ingenious black-and-green loop puts Timeless Witness at the center of a self-sustaining cycle by leveraging Saw in Half to multiply its enter-the-battlefield trigger. When you cast Saw in Half on the Witness, the two resulting tokens each trigger to return both that very spell and Sacrifice from your graveyard to your hand. You then use Sacrifice to feed one of those token copies to the graveyard for a burst of black mana, fueling the next iteration. Because Sacrifice feeds the exact mana value you need while Saw in Half keeps replenishing your hand, you can repeat this process indefinitely for an endless stream of sacrifice and death triggers.
