How it works

1. Cast Saw in Half by paying 2, destroying Verdurous Gearhulk and creating four token copies of it with base power equal to half the destroyed creature's power and base toughness equal to half the destroyed creature's toughness, rounding up each time.
2. The Verdurous Gearhulk tokens enter the battlefield, triggering their abilities.
3. Resolve a Verdurous Gearhulk trigger, putting eight +1/+1 counters on any creature(s) you control.
4. Simic Ascendancy triggers, putting sixteen growth counters on itself.
5. Repeat steps 3-4 for each remaining trigger.
6. At the beginning of your next upkeep, Simic Ascendancy triggers, causing you to win the game.
