How it works

1. Cast Cabal Ritual by paying 1, adding .
2. Cast Saw in Half by paying 2, destroying Ardent Elementalist and creating two token copies of it with base power equal to half the destroyed creature's power and base toughness equal to half the destroyed creature's toughness, rounding up each time.
3. When the Ardent Elementalist tokens enter the battlefield, they trigger, returning Saw in Half and Cabal Ritual from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Repeat.

This loop begins by casting Cabal Ritual with threshold active, fueling your mana pool with five black mana to easily pay for the rest of the sequence. You then target Ardent Elementalist with Saw in Half, which destroys the original wizard to leave behind two weaker token copies in its place. Because both Ardent Elementalist tokens enter the battlefield simultaneously, their triggered abilities fire off together to fish both Saw in Half and Cabal Ritual right back out of your graveyard and into your hand. By looping these spells, you continuously recycle your resources to amass an overwhelming army of tokens while generating infinite enters-the-battlefield and death triggers.
