How it works

1. Cast Saw in Half by paying 2, destroying Scholar of the Ages and creating two token copies of it with base power equal to half the destroyed creature's power and base toughness equal to half the destroyed creature's toughness, rounding up each time.
2. When the Scholar of the Ages tokens enter the battlefield, they trigger, returning Saw in Half and Burnt Offering from your graveyard to your hand along with up to two other instants and/or sorceries.
3. Cast Burnt Offering by paying and sacrificing a Scholar of the Ages token, adding plus an additional amount of and/or equal to its mana value minus 2.
4. Repeat.

This loop turns a single spell into a self-sustaining recycling engine by taking advantage of Scholar of the Ages's enters-the-battlefield trigger to continuously fish back your resources. You start by casting Saw in Half on the Scholar, which immediately multiplies your copies while letting them restock your hand with both the Saw in Half and Burnt Offering that you need to keep going. From there, sacrificing one of the newly created token copies to fuel Burnt Offering generates the exact black and red mana required to cast Saw in Half all over again, leaving you with an extra Scholar token leftover on every single iteration.
