How it works

1. If Morselhoarder has any -1/-1 counters on it, activate it by removing a -1/-1 counter from it, adding one mana of any color.
2. Repeat step 1 as necessary until Morselhoarder has no -1/-1 counters on it.
3. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Morselhoarder.
4. When Morselhoarder dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
5. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop harnesses the flexible reanimation of Isilu, Carrier of Twilight (the back face of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight) to endlessly recycle Morselhoarder. By tapping into Morselhoarder's ability to strip away its own -1/-1 counters for mana, you can filter through its natural state until it is completely clean of them. From there, Umbral Collar Zealot steps in as the sacrificial outlet that sends Morselhoarder to the graveyard, instantly triggering the persist ability granted by Isilu to bring it right back to the battlefield with a fresh counter. You can then repeat this cycle indefinitely, generating an endless supply of colored mana alongside infinite sacrifices, death triggers, and card-filtering surveils.
