How it works

1. Cast Mourning by paying 2 life if able, or otherwise.
2. Each creature you control's extort ability triggers.
3. Resolve the first extort trigger, causing you to pay 2 life if able, or W/B otherwise, causing each opponent to lose 1 life and you to gain that much life.
4. Repeat step 3 for each remaining extort trigger.
5. Resolve Mourning, attaching it to a creature you control.
6. Activate Mourning by paying 2 life, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
7. Repeat until an opponent loses the game due to having 0 or less life.

This brilliant loop turns a humble Aura into a lethal weapon by leveraging the cost-reduction of Jet Medallion alongside K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth, which lets you pay life instead of black mana for both your spells and the active ability of Mourning. Because Pontiff of Blight grants extort to your entire board, casting and bouncing Mourning over and over triggers a massive wave of life drains that effortlessly outpaces the life you spend to keep the cycle going.
