How it works

1. Activate Tinder Wall by sacrificing it.
2. When Tinder Wall dies, Mortuary and Popular Egotist trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Tinder Wall from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Popular Egotist trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and target opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Cast Tinder Wall from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This ingenious loop uses Gwenom, Remorseless to turn your library into an alternative hand, allowing you to cast Tinder Wall directly from the top of your deck while paying its mana cost with life instead of mana. Every iteration of this cycle is fueled by Tinder Wall's sacrifice ability to generate red mana, while Mortuary immediately recycles the sacrificed defender straight back to the top of your library to keep the chain unbroken. Meanwhile, Popular Egotist sits on the battlefield as a lethal win condition, weaponizing every single permanent sacrifice to drain your opponent's life total down to zero.
