How it works

1. During your upkeep, activate Necrotic Ooze using Whisper's ability by tapping it and sacrificing two other creatures, returning Abhorrent Overlord from your graveyard to the battlefield.
2. When Abhorrent Overlord enters the battlefield, its first ability triggers, creating at least four 1/1 Harpy creature tokens.
3. Activate Necrotic Ooze using Black Carriage's ability by sacrificing Abhorrent Overlord, untapping Necrotic Ooze.
4. Repeat.

With Necrotic Ooze on the battlefield absorbing the abilities of all creatures in your graveyard, it gains the power of Whisper, Blood Liturgist to repeatedly resurrect threats. By using Whisper's activated ability—fueled by sacrificing a pair of expendable creatures—you pull Abhorrent Overlord from the graveyard, whose entry triggers a swarm of Harpy tokens thanks to your devotion to black. Necrotic Ooze then taps into Black Carriage to untap itself by sacrificing the Overlord, setting the stage to loop the resurrection indefinitely. While Black Carriage's own static text normally locks it down during the untap step, channeling its untap ability through the Ooze neatly bypasses that restriction to generate an endless cycle of sacrifice, entries, and token creation.
