How it works
Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Triskelavus.
When Triskelavus dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to its replacement effect.
Resolve the Phantom Train ability.
Repeat.
This clever engine relies entirely on Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn's backside, Isilu, Carrier of Twilight, whose static ability grants your other nontoken creatures persist to create an endless loop of sacrifice and resurrection. By feeding Triskelavus to Phantom Train, you trigger that persist ability to bring Triskelavus right back to the battlefield with a fresh lease on life, ready to be sacrificed all over again. Phantom Train happily gobbles up the mechanical horror while growing larger with every iteration, generating an unending cascade of creature deaths and enters-the-battlefield triggers.
