How it works

1. Activate Liquimetal Coating by tapping it, causing Medomai the Ageless to become an artifact until end of turn.
2. Deal combat damage to an opponent using Medomai the Ageless.
3. Medomai the Ageless triggers, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
4. Cast Idris by paying 1.
5. When Idris enters the battlefield, it triggers, exiling Medomai the Ageless until Idris leaves the battlefield.
6. Move to your extra turn.
7. At the beginning of your upkeep, Idris's vanishing ability triggers, removing a time counter from it.
8. Deal combat damage to an opponent using Idris and Thrummingbird.
9. Idris and Thrummingbird trigger.
10. Resolve the Idris trigger, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
11. Resolve the Thrummingbird trigger, putting a time counter on Idris.
12. Repeat from step 6.

This loop turns Medomai the Ageless into a permanent engine of infinite extra turns by bypassing its restriction against attacking during extra turns. By using Liquimetal Coating, you can target Medomai the Ageless to turn it into an artifact just in time for Idris, Soul of the TARDIS to enter the battlefield and imprint it, granting Idris all of Medomai's text, stats, and that glorious extra-turn trigger without inheriting the "can't attack" clause. Meanwhile, Thrummingbird swoops in alongside Idris during combat to deal damage and proliferate, adding a time counter back to Idris's vanishing ability so it never fades away.
