How it works
Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing White Widow.
When White Widow dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
When White Widow enters, it triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it and up to one other creature.
Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability.
Repeat.
This clever loop turns Isilu, Carrier of Twilight—the night-shifted side of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn—into a relentless engine of destruction by granting your nontoken creatures persist. When you sacrifice White Widow, Free Agent to Goblin Bombardment, persist brings it right back with a -1/-1 counter, but its own entrance ability immediately places a +1/+1 counter to cancel it out. Because those opposing counters annihilate each other state-based style, White Widow, Free Agent remains pristine and ready to be fed back into Goblin Bombardment for infinite damage, death triggers, and infinitely recurring enter-the-battlefield effects.
