How it works

1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Wakandan Royal Guard.
2. When Wakandan Royal Guard dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Wakandan Royal Guard enters, it triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability.
5. Repeat.

This infinite loop turns Isilu, Carrier of Twilight's passive grant of persist into a relentless engine of destruction, fueled entirely by the sacrifice outlet of Goblin Bombardment. By sacrificing Wakandan Royal Guard to Goblin Bombardment, you trigger its persist ability to return it with a -1/-1 counter, which is immediately canceled out by the +1/+1 counter from Wakandan Royal Guard's own entry trigger. Because the creature returns without any counters, the cycle can repeat indefinitely to ping down any target. Meanwhile, the daytime face, Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn, ensures your creature spells possess convoke to help you easily cast your threats in the first place, though once the back side is online, the combination of sacrifice and counter-cancellation finishes the game on the spot.
