How it works

1. Activate the land with Squirrel Nest attached by tapping it, creating a 1/1 Squirrel creature token.
2. When the Squirrel enters, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
3. Activate Forensic Researcher by tapping it, untapping the land with Squirrel Nest attached.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop transforms a simple forest floor into a buzzing ecosystem by weaponizing the untap trigger of Intruder Alarm. Every time Squirrel Nest produces a new token, the Alarm wakes up your entire board, allowing Forensic Researcher to repeatedly untap the enchanted land so you can start the process all over again. Forensic Researcher pulls double duty here, not only feeding the loop by refreshing your mana-producing land, but also benefiting from the universal untaps to generate an endless horde of Squirrels and creature ETB triggers.
