How it works

1. Give Protector of the Crown indestructible, if needed.
2. Cast Arcbond by paying 2, targeting Protector of the Crown.
3. Deal damage to Protector of the Crown.
4. Arcbond triggers, dealing damage to each creature and player equal to the damage dealt to Protector of the Crown, with the damage that would be dealt to you being dealt to Protector of the Crown instead.
5. Repeat from step 4.

This delightful chain reaction turns Protector of the Crown's royal duties into a lethal parlor trick. Because Protector of the Crown redirects all damage that would be dealt to you straight to itself, it becomes a lightning rod for the whole board—making it the ideal target for Arcbond. The moment you deal an initial spark of damage to Protector of the Crown (assuming it has been granted indestructible to survive the ordeal), Arcbond triggers to lash out at everything and everyone. Each redirected bolt hitting Protector of the Crown triggers Arcbond all over again in a self-sustaining loop that infinitely scorches each creature and player until the game is won.
