How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Glint-Sleeve Artisan.
2. When Glint-Sleeve Artisan dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Glint-Sleeve Artisan enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Isilu, Carrier of Twilight—the transformed back side of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn—to grant your other nontoken creatures persist, while Altar of Dementia provides the sacrifice outlet to mill your opponents out. When you feed Glint-Sleeve Artisan to the Altar, its persist ability brings it right back with a -1/-1 counter, but its fabricate ability simultaneously places a +1/+1 counter on it; these two counters immediately cancel each other out via state-based actions, leaving the Artisan completely clean of counters and ready to be sacrificed all over again.
