How it works

1. Activate Krark-Clan Ironworks by sacrificing Lesser Masticore.
2. When Lesser Masticore dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Melira.
3. Repeat.

This classic loop lets you harvest infinite colorless mana by feeding Lesser Masticore into Krark-Clan Ironworks, which cheerfully converts the robotic rat into two mana per sacrifice. Normally, persist would bring Lesser Masticore back with a -1/-1 counter that permanently shuts down the engine, but Melira, Sylvok Outcast steps in with her passive ability to prevent those counters from ever being placed. Because the Masticore returns pristine every single time it hits the graveyard, you can endlessly repeat the sacrifice loop to fuel your bigger game-winning plays.
