How it works

1. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Twilight Shepherd.
2. When Twilight Shepherd dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Melira.
3. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability
4. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Melira, Sylvok Outcast and her passive ability, which completely negates the -1/-1 counter that would normally be placed on Twilight Shepherd when its persist ability triggers. Because Melira keeps the Shepherd clean of counters, you can endlessly sacrifice Twilight Shepherd to Bartolomé del Presidio to fuel a growing stream of +1/+1 counters on Bartolomé, while the Shepherd's own entry trigger recycles your graveyard back to your hand for infinite value.
