How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Twilight Shepherd.
2. When Twilight Shepherd dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Melira.
3. Resolve the Shilgengar ability
4. Repeat.

This loop relies on Shilgengar, Sire of Famine to sacrifice Twilight Shepherd, generating a Blood token each time while triggering the Shepherd's persist ability. Thanks to Melira, Sylvok Outcast and her passive ability preventing -1/-1 counters from being placed on your creatures, Twilight Shepherd continuously returns to the battlefield without any hindrance. Whenever Twilight Shepherd enters, its triggered ability also returns any cards put into your graveyard from the battlefield that turn, letting you endlessly repeat the sacrifice loop for infinite Blood tokens and death triggers.
