How it works

1. Activate Ravenous Intruder by sacrificing Wingrattle Scarecrow.
2. When Wingrattle Scarecrow dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Melira.
3. Resolve the Ravenous Intruder ability.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Melira, Sylvok Outcast and her passive ability to completely nullify the drawback of persist, letting Wingrattle Scarecrow bounce back from the graveyard entirely unscathed time and time again. Because Melira prevents -1/-1 counters from ever being placed on your creatures, the Scarecrow triggers its own persist ability infinitely without accumulating the counters that would normally stop it from returning. Each time it comes back, you simply feed it right back into Ravenous Intruder's activated ability, turning those endless sacrifices into an infinitely large threat that towers over the battlefield until the end of the turn.
