How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Grazing Kelpie.
2. When Grazing Kelpie dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Melira.
3. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability
4. Repeat.

Melira, Sylvok Outcast acts as the anchor of this loop, completely neutralizing the drawback of persist by ensuring Grazing Kelpie never receives a -1/-1 counter when it returns from the grave. This allows Grazing Kelpie to be repeatedly sacrificed to Umbral Collar Zealot's ability to constantly surveil your library while generating an endless stream of entries, leaves, and deaths.
