How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Serrated Scorpion.
2. When Serrated Scorpion dies, it and Mortuary triggers.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Serrated Scorpion from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Serrated Scorpion trigger, causing you to gain 2 life and dealing 2 damage to each opponent.
5. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
6. Cast Serrated Scorpion from the top of your library by paying 1 life due to Gwenom.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop uses Mortuary as a static engine to intercept your creatures as they hit the graveyard, immediately cycling them back to the top of your library. Shilgengar, Sire of Famine provides the sacrificial outlet to fuel this cycle while stacking up Blood tokens, whose own sacrifice cost can eventually mass-resurrect your fallen army with finality counters. Meanwhile, Serrated Scorpion serves as the lethal payload, repeatedly draining your opponents to death and padding your life total every time it's fed to Shilgengar. Gwenom, Remorseless ties the whole mechanism together by letting you bypass conventional mana costs, trading life instead of mana to recast the Scorpion straight off the top of your library as fast as you can loop it.
