How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Tarpan.
2. When Tarpan dies, it and Mortuary triggers.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Tarpan from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Tarpan trigger, causing you to gain 1 life
5. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
6. Cast Tarpan from the top of your library by paying 1 life due to Gwenom.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Mortuary to intercept your sacrifices, immediately tucking Tarpan back onto the top of your library whenever Shilgengar, Sire of Famine puts it in the graveyard to generate a Blood token. Meanwhile, Gwenom, Remorseless lets you turn the top of your library into a hidden hand, allowing you to bypass mana costs and recast Tarpan endlessly by simply paying life instead.
