How it works

1. Cast Wick either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 3 plus commander tax, if applicable.
2. When Wick enters the battlefield, it triggers.
3. Holding priority, if you control a Snail, activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing the Snail, adding .
4. If needed, repeat step 3 until you do not control a Snail.
5. Resolve the Wick trigger, creating a 1/1 Snail creature token.
6. When the Snail enters the battlefield as a Rat due to Leyline of Transformation, Wick triggers.
7. Repeat from step 3.

This ingenious loop turns Wick, the Whorled Mind into a self-sustaining engine by utilizing Leyline of Transformation to fundamentally rewrite creature types, making every Snail that enters the battlefield count as a Rat as well. Because of this type-shifting enchantment, whenever Wick creates or buffs a Snail, its own entering-the-battlefield ability triggers anew to continually replace your sacrificed creatures. Thermopod provides the crucial outlet to instantly sacrifice those creatures for red mana, fueling the loop infinitely while generating boundless death triggers and leaving opponents buried under an avalanche of sacrifices.
