How it works

1. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing another nonland creature.
2. When the creature dies, Beifong's Bounty Hunters triggers, earthbending a land you control.
3. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing the earthbent land.
4. When the land dies, Field of Souls and Beifong's Bounty Hunters trigger.
5. Resolve the Beifong's Bounty Hunters trigger, returning the land from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. Resolve the Field of Souls trigger, creating a creature token.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms simple creature sacrifice into a self-sustaining engine by turning your real estate into disposable fodder. With Field of Souls on the board to seed your graveyard with Spirit tokens whenever a nontoken creature perishes, Beifong's Bounty Hunters steps in to continuously earthbend your lands into creature-threats sized by their own power. You can then feed these animated lands directly to Thermopod, turning each sacrifice into both a burst of red mana and a cascade of death and landfall triggers. Because the earthbent land's own delayed return mechanic puts it right back onto the battlefield when it dies, the cycle feeds endlessly into itself while keeping your mana and token counts climbing.
