How it works

1. Cast Sakashima's Student by paying its mana cost. Choose to have it enter the battlefield as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up.
2. Put Sakashima's Student into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
3. Sakashima's Student's first ability and second ability trigger, along with Rakdos Joins Up's second ability.
4. Resolve Sakashima's Student's second trigger and Rakdos Joins Up's trigger, dealing damage to target opponent.
5. Resolve Sakashima's Student's first trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on it as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This elegant loop relies on Opalescence to turn our enchantments into creatures, allowing Sakashima's Student to enter the battlefield as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up. Because multiple copies of the legendary enchantment trigger the legend rule instantly, the newly arrived copy is sent straight to the graveyard, which triggers its own ability to return itself to the battlefield with two additional +1/+1 counters. Each iteration repeats this cycle of sacrifice and resurrection, letting Rakdos Joins Up and Sakashima's Student continuously fuel each other's death triggers to deal infinite damage to your opponents.
