How it works

  1. Cast Stonework Puma by paying 3.
  2. When Stonework Puma enters, Haru triggers, targeting Stonework Puma as it is a land due to Toph.
  3. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Stonework Puma.
  4. When Stonework Puma dies, Haru triggers, returning Stonework Puma from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
  5. When Stonework Puma enters, Haru triggers, targeting Stonework Puma as it is a land due to Toph.
  6. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
  7. Repeat from step 3.

This clever loop turns your inanimate hardware into an endless engine by leveraging Toph, the First Metalbender's passive ability to treat all your nontoken artifacts as lands. Because Stonework Puma is an Ally artifact creature, casting it means it enters as both a creature and a land, instantly satisfying Haru, Hidden Talent's trigger condition to earthbend. You can then feed Stonework Puma directly to Altar of Dementia, sending it to the graveyard where its earthbend-granted return-to-battlefield trigger instantly rescues it, looping the Puma back to the battlefield tapped and ready to repeat the entire cycle for infinite sacrifices and mill.
