How it works

1. Cast Lupine Prototype by paying 2.
2. When Lupine Prototype enters the battlefield, Life Finds a Way triggers, creating a copy of any nonartifact creature token you control.
3. When the creature token enters the battlefield, Cloudstone Curio triggers, returning Lupine Prototype to your hand from the battlefield.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a creature token, adding CC.
5. Repeat.

This clever engine spins into motion by leveraging Cloudstone Curio to establish a continuous loop of hands and battlefield: when you cast Lupine Prototype, Life Finds a Way steps in to populate a copy of a creature token, and that entering token triggers the Curio to bounce the Prototype right back to your hand. To fund this recurring dance, Ashnod's Altar converts your expendable creature tokens into the colorless mana needed to recast the artifact creature over and over. Though Lupine Prototype itself is normally held back by its own restriction against attacking or blocking with cards in hand, it doesn't need to swing at anything when it acts as the perfect repeatable catalyst for this infinite loop.
