How it works
Cast Sin either from your hand or command zone by paying 5 plus commander tax if applicable.
As Sin enters, remove all counters from all artifacts, enchantments and creatures you control, putting twice that many +1/+1 counters on Sin.
Activate Selvala by paying and tapping it, adding at least plus an additional X equal to Sin's power minus 3.
When Sin enters, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Sin, adding CC.
Choose to return Sin to the command zone from your graveyard.
When Sin dies, it triggers, putting its counters on Selvala.
Repeat.
This loop transforms Sin, Unending Cataclysm into a monstrous engine by continually recycling its massive entry ritual, which is uniquely fueled each time by the counters it strips from your board. As Sin enters, Intruder Alarm untaps your entire crew—including Selvala, Heart of the Wilds—while Selvala’s own triggered ability rewards you with massive card draw whenever Sin’s pumped-up power dwarfs the rest of the board. Tapping Selvala converts that towering power into a windfall of colored mana, and Ashnod's Altar then feeds on Sin's sacrifice to generate the colorless mana needed to recast the cataclysm from the command zone. Finally, Sin's own death trigger ensures that its accumulated +1/+1 counters aren't lost, funneling them directly onto Selvala to make future mana tappings even more explosive.
