How it works
- Cast All-Out Assault by paying 2.
- When All-Out Assault enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get an additional combat and main phase after this one.
- Move to your extra combat phase. All-Out Assault triggers, untapping each creature you control.
- Declare Carmen as an attacker, triggering its second ability, returning Leonin Relic-Warder form your graveyard to the battlefield.
- When Leonin Relic-Warder enters the battlefield, its first ability triggers, exiling All-Out Assault.
- Move to your postcombat main phase, and activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Leonin Relic-Warder.
- When Leonin Relic-Warder dies, its second ability and Carmen's first ability trigger.
- Resolve the Carmen trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on it and causing you to gain 1 life.
- Resolve the Leonin Relic-Warder trigger, returning All-Out Assault from exile to the battlefield.
- When All-Out Assault enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get an additional combat and main phase after this one.
- Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
- Repeat from step 3.
This intricate loop transforms All-Out Assault into an infinite engine for extra combat phases by leveraging the clever interaction between Leonin Relic-Warder and Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher. When Carmen swings, her attack trigger plucks Leonin Relic-Warder from your graveyard, which in turn exiles All-Out Assault to reset its enter-the-battlefield trigger. You then use Umbral Collar Zealot to sacrifice Leonin Relic-Warder during the ensuing main phase, sending it back to the graveyard while simultaneously letting Carmen grow larger with a +1/+1 counter and triggering the return of All-Out Assault. Because Carmen's reanimation range scales with her power, those growing +1/+1 counters ensure she can reliably bring back Leonin Relic-Warder turn after turn as you endlessly chain additional combat phases.
