How it works

  1. Activate Workhorse by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding C.
  2. If needed, repeat step 1 until Workhorse dies as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness.
  3. When Workhorse dies, It's persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with three +1/+1 counters on it due to its ability.
  4. Reoeat.
