How it works
- Activate Sol Ring by tapping it, adding CC.
- Activate Makeshift Munitions by paying 1 and sacrificing Sol Ring, dealing 1 damage to any target.
- Activate Emry by tapping it, allowing you to cast Sol Ring from your graveyard this turn.
- Cast Sol Ring from your graveyard by paying 1.
- Jeskai Ascendancy's first and second abilities trigger.
- Resolve the first trigger, causing creatures you control to get +1/+1 until end of turn and untapping all creatures you control.
- Resolve the second trigger, allowing you to loot.
- Repeat.
This clever loop turns Sol Ring into ammunition by sacrificing it to Makeshift Munitions, only to dredge it right back out of the graveyard using Emry, Lurker of the Loch's tap ability. Jeskai Ascendancy sits at the center of the engine as a vital enabler, untapping Emry every time you recast the artifact so you can repeat the process indefinitely while churning through your deck with its looting ability.
