How it works

1. Declare Ebonblade Reaper as an attacker.
2. Ebonblade Reaper's first ability triggers, causing you to lose half your life total, rounded up.
3. Deal combat damage to an opponent using Ebonblade Reaper.
4. Ebonblade Reaper's second ability triggers, causing the defending opponent to lose their entire life total due to Bloodletter of Aclazotz.
5. The opponent loses the game due to having 0 or less life.

This elegant interaction turns Ebonblade Reaper’s normally punishing combat trigger into a lethal one-shot for a single opponent. While the Reaper makes you pay half your own life just for declaring an attack, its true power is unlocked the moment it connects for combat damage. Normally, cutting an opponent's life in half would leave them clinging to survival, but the static replacement effect of Bloodletter of Aclazotz doubles that loss of life, instantly wiping out their entire remaining life total and sending them out of the game.
