How it works

1. Cast Bladewing's Thrall by paying 2.
2. When Bladewing's Thrall enters, Dragonback Assault triggers, as Bladewing's Thrall is a land due to Ashaya.
3. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Bladewing's Thrall.
4. Resolve the Dragonback Assault trigger, creating a 4/4 Dragon creature token.
5. When the Dragon enters, Bladewing's Thrall triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever engine transforms your graveyard recursion into an infinite manufacturing line by turning your creatures into lands through Ashaya, Soul of the Wild. Because Ashaya makes your creatures Forests in addition to their other types, casting Bladewing's Thrall satisfies Dragonback Assault's landfall trigger immediately upon entry, creating a 4/4 red Dragon token with flying. You then sacrifice the Thrall to Ashnod's Altar for colorless mana, letting the newly created Dragon's entry trigger the Thrall to leap right back out of your graveyard and repeat the entire loop.
