How it works

1. Cast Bladewing's Thrall by paying 2.
2. When Bladewing's Thrall enters, Nesting Dragon triggers, as Bladewing's Thrall is a land due to Ashaya.
3. Holding priority, activate Lithatog by sacrificing Bladewing's Thrall.
4. Resolve the Nesting Dragon trigger, creating a 0/2 Dragon Egg creature token.
5. When the Dragon Egg enters, Bladewing's Thrall triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This fascinating loop relies on Ashaya, Soul of the Wild to fundamentally rewrite the rules of your battlefield by turning every nontoken creature into a Forest land. Because of this transformation, whenever Bladewing's Thrall enters the battlefield, it simultaneously triggers Nesting Dragon's landfall ability by making a "land" arrive. Before that token even appears, you exploit Lithatog to sacrifice the Thrall itself, sending it to the graveyard so it can immediately trigger its own resurrection ability the moment the Dragon Egg token hits play. This creates a self-sustaining cycle where the Egg enters, the Thrall returns from the graveyard, triggers another landfall token, and gets sacrificed all over again to Lithatog's hungry maw.
