How it works

1. Cast Bladewing's Thrall by paying 2.
2. When Bladewing's Thrall enters, Nesting Dragon triggers, as Bladewing's Thrall is a land due to Ashaya.
3. Holding priority, activate Trenching Steed by sacrificing Bladewing's Thrall.
4. Resolve the Nesting Dragon trigger, creating a 0/2 Dragon Egg creature token.
5. When the Dragon Egg enters, Bladewing's Thrall triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This elegant loop transforms a humble self-sacrificing cycle into an infinite engine by turning your entire team into lands. With Ashaya, Soul of the Wild on the battlefield, Bladewing's Thrall counts as a land, allowing its own entrance to trigger Nesting Dragon's landfall ability and immediately produce a Dragon Egg. You then sacrifice the Thrall to Trenching Steed to fuel its toughness pump; because the Egg is a Dragon, it acts as a beacon that triggers Bladewing's Thrall to resurrect itself from the graveyard.
