How it works

  1. Cast any creature by paying its mana cost.
  2. When the creature enters as a Plains due to Ashaya and Emeria Shepherd, Emeria Shepherd triggers.
  3. Holding priority, activate Overgrown Estate by sacrificing the creature cast in step 1.
  4. Resolve the Emeria Shepherd trigger, returning another creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns your entire creature base into a self-sustaining recycling engine by layering land-type interactions. Thanks to Ashaya, Soul of the Wild, every nontoken creature you control is naturally a Forest, but Celestial Dawn steps in to rewrite all your lands into Plains while simultaneously granting you the white mana needed to keep casting your spells. When you feed one of these creature-lands to Overgrown Estate to gain life, it hits the graveyard, but its entry into play had already triggered Emeria Shepherd. Because Celestial Dawn ensures that entering land is treated as a Plains, the Shepherd's landfall ability lets you yank another creature straight from your graveyard back onto the battlefield, ready to be sacrificed and repeated indefinitely for an endless stream of triggers and life.
