How it works

1. Cast any creature by paying its mana cost.
2. When the creature enters as a Plains due to Ashaya and Emeria Shepherd, Emeria Shepherd triggers.
3. Holding priority, activate Sylvan Safekeeper by sacrificing the creature cast in step 1.
4. Resolve the Emeria Shepherd trigger, returning another creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This intricate loop turns your entire graveyard into an endless parade of creatures, fueled entirely by a clever overlap of permanent types. Ashaya, Soul of the Wild does the heavy lifting by turning all your nontoken creatures into Forest lands, while Celestial Dawn steps in to ensure every land you control is also a Plains. Because of this type-shifting, casting any creature causes Emeria Shepherd's landfall ability to trigger as it enters the battlefield as a Plains, allowing you to return a card from your graveyard directly to the battlefield. Before that return trigger resolves, you can immediately feed that same entering creature to Sylvan Safekeeper's ability, sacrificing it as a land to protect your board while setting up the next iteration.
